Sleep
Do you know what
happens in our body when we sleep. Most of us believes when we take a
proper sleep, we feel fresh and active. This also increases our
strength and energy of doing work. But only a very few of us knows the
reason behind this. So today I'm Unravel the mystery that what happens
inside our body when we sleep. And also I will explain why there is a
need of proper sleep for our body. Everyday we sleep at a fixed time in
night and also wakeup at a fixed time in the morning. We lost our energy
while doing the work all day long so that our body needs to rest and
because of this we sleep. Sleep is really a process of occurrence and
attraction. It is also important for us. This occurs when melatonin
hormones releases and gives instructions to the brain.
What is Melatonin?
Melatonin
is a hormone inside the body that is produced by the pineal gland in
the brain and then released into the bloodstream. Darkness singnals the
pineal gland to start producing melatonin hormones while light causes
that production to stop so that we mainly sleep when the light is off.
As a result, melatonin helps regulate circadian rhythms and synchronize
our sleep-wake cycle with night and day. In doing so, it facilitates a
transition to sleep and promotes consistent, quality rest.
Melatonin,
often referred to as the sleep hormone, is a central part of the body’s
sleep-wake cycle. Its production increases with evening darkness,
promoting healthy sleep and helping to orient our circadian rhythm.
Why do we sleep?
One
of the most important works of sleep is to recall the memories. During
the day our brain collects a lot more knowledge about everything so
that our brain needs to recognise, analyse and store them. It is a long
process. During night, brain relaxes and divided the memories into many
parts and store them. All the information turns from short term memory
to long term memory. It is also known as consolidation sleep. From this
we can clearly know that people who don't sleep properly have a weak
memory remembrance. Sources says that people who stores their memory
successfully, always do their work in a better way.
Why do we need a long sleep?
Sleep
improves muscle tone and skin appearance. With adequate sleep athletes
run better, swim better and lift more weight. We also see differences in
immune responses depending on how much someone sleeps. The amount of
sleep a person needs will vary from individual to individual.
Why do we sleep?
This
process involves a neurotransmitter named, adenosine. These neurones
singnals the brain when the body needs to sleep. Adenosine singnals the
brain about the body needs to sleep or to wake. When we wake, adenosine
increases to let the body sleep again. And when adenosine finally
increase, we feel sleepy. Sometimes people who studies whole night they
feels sleepy all day long. And they consume something contains caffeine.
Caffeine decreases the effect of adenosine and sleep goes away.
What happens during sleep?
There
are four stages of sleep. During 1st and 2nd stage we get little sleep.
This is the process to go from wake to sleep. Heartbeat and breathing
slows in these two stages also the temperature decreases and muscles
cools down. In 3rd stage, we sleep deeply. During this our bones and
muscles are repairs and produces more hormones to so that our body
repairs the bones fastly. In 4th stage, we start dreaming. Our body
starts making some chemicals which temporarily paralyses the body so
that we are unable to do anything when we are dreaming. Our brain and
eyes works fastly. So this was the process of sleep.
If
we don't sleep we can't do anything in a correct way. We feel weak,
less energetic, irritability, and sleepiness. For 1 or 2 days it doesn't
effects our health. But doing this regularly will surely effect our
physical and mental health. Some of the diseases caused by this are
sleeplessness, obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.
It also effects shape and colour of body.
How can I fall asleep in 2 minutes?
Falling
asleep in a short while, such as in 2 minutes, may be achieved by
following certain tips and sleep rituals. However, you need to follow
this routine daily to train your brain to fall asleep quickly. One
technique was reportedly practiced by the United States military. The
technique, called military technique, was developed to help soldiers get
to sleep in stressful situations, such as battlefields. By getting
adequate sleep, the soldiers were less vulnerable to daytime fatigue and
the probability of making mistakes, which could be dangerous. This
technique involves
Lying in bed.
Start by breathing slowly and deeply.
This
will surely help you fall asleep fast. You just need to stop thinking
and inhale for 4 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds slowly.
